Hi! I’m Ursula, and I’m the owner of Thrive Therapy Centre. I’m a licensed social worker registered with the BC College of Social Workers, a registered member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and an active member of the BC Association of Social Workers.

My previous work experience includes working with children, youth, and their families since 2011, providing individual women’s counselling, employment counselling, family counselling, and mental health and addictions counselling.

I have experience helping people overcome anxiety, and I’m particularly invested in supporting individuals overcome feelings of social anxiety. I also help my clients address trauma, grief and loss, as well as prenatal and postpartum challenges. I’m committed to working with individuals impacted by social justice and poverty issues, wellness and healthy lifestyle issues.

I trained in using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Practice, and Strengths Based Therapy.

I will be providing in-person services in Campbell River, BC starting September 2023. I also provide video counselling for both BC and Alberta residents.
