Physiotherapist

Area of Expertise
General Practice | Youth Injury Rehab (Ages 6+)

Kayla was born to move, and as a registered physiotherapist loves to share this passion for movement with people of all ages. She has a special interest in caring for children and teens, fuelled by the great memories of her BC childhood spent riding bikes, playing sports and camping with her family.

Kayla studied Nutritional Sciences and Physiology at the University of Toronto, and later achieved a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2016. Over the past 5 years, she has focussed on training in pediatrics in many different settings, and has made it a priority to practice in a client-centred and family-friendly way to help people of all abilities achieve their goals. No goal or dream is too small. But, don’t be fooled - she enjoys working with adults too. She believes that everyone has a kid inside them!

In terms of treatment, Kayla likes to use a combination of evidence-based and exercise or play-based physiotherapy as well as manual therapy or soft-tissue release when appropriate. Expect to have fun and work together to help you get back to doing the things you enjoy.

When Kayla is not in clinic, she might be found working in the Early Intervention Therapy program, instructing adaptive skiing, or getting into trouble on two-wheels.
