I earned my degree in Physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University in North Sydney and my BA in Exercise and Physical Health Education from the University of Victoria. After living in Australia for over 8 years, I decided to move back to my hometown of CR to establish roots for my young family.
My physiotherapy approach is rooted in the ideology that bodies are very adaptive and stronger than we often believe they are. I am a firm believer in empowering my clients through education and in creating collaborative treatment plans to achieve client goals. I am a certified Functional Dry Needling (IMS) practitioner and have an extensive background in exercise rehabilitation & personal training spanning over 25 years. You should absolutely expect movement in your rehab program.
In addition to treating musculoskeletal injuries, I have extensive post-graduate training in Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. I was first exposed to pelvic health in 2015 during my physiotherapy program in Australia and was immediately inspired by this area of study (and by my instructor, Taryn Hallam). This inspiration ignited a passion to continually evolve my practice to
better service my clients as more research in women’s health becomes available. I enjoy treating all areas of pelvic health with a wholistic approach and have a particular interest in supporting people in pregnancy and postpartum. I am proud to offer postpartum strength series to other mamas with the intention of empowering women with accurate information about strength training postpartum (and beyond) and to remind mum’s that they are not fragile – they are badass.
When I’m not in clinic, I live a beautifully chaotic life with my husband and 2 young humans.
